Missouri's open records law, better known as the Sunshine Law, turned 50 years old in 2023.
A groundbreaking bill in 1973, nothing like it existed before that allowed citizens, journalists, or anyone access to government meetings and records. Watch here.

Innocence Advocates Call Out Attorney General
Multiple "innocence advocate" groups are called out Attorney General Andrew Bailey on "his callous attitude towards the possibility of executing an innocent person."
This comes after the Missouri Supreme Court ruled that Bailey can not block a hearing to review evidence pertaining to Marcellus Williams' claim of innocence, as he sat on death row. Watch Here.

Supreme Court Case on Homelessness localized
In 2024 the Supreme Court considered changes to how cities handle people without housing.
